How to Set Up SEO for Your Blog

Optimizing your blog for search engines is a critical step in ensuring that your content is easily discoverable by users. Here’s a simple guide to set up SEO for your blog using the settings page.
Accessing SEO Settings
- Navigate to Settings: On your dashboard, find and click on the ‘Settings’ tab.
- Select the SEO Tab: Within Settings, locate and select the ‘SEO/Widget’ tab to access SEO options.
Configuring SEO Elements
Site & Domain Settings
- Meta Title:
- This is the title that appears in search engine results.
- Enter a concise title that reflects the overall purpose of your blog.
- Meta Description:
- Provide a brief description of your blog.
- This should be compelling to encourage clicks from search results.
Images
- Upload OG Image:
- The OG (Open Graph) image is what will be displayed when your pages are shared on social media.
- Ensure the image is clear, relevant, and has a max size of 1000KB.
- Upload Favicon:
- A favicon is the small icon that appears in browser tabs and bookmarks.
- Your favicon should be a simplified logo or symbol that represents your brand, with a max size of 200KB.
Set Up SEO for Article / Category / Author pages
In each table these are fields to add
Meta_title
& Meta_description
and og_image
in Article & Category tables and Author_image
in Author table.Final Steps
- Allow Indexing:
- Toggle on the option ‘Let Google index this blog’ to ensure your pages are included in Google Search results.
- A sitemap will be automatically generated for all published pages.
- Save Changes:
- After entering all the details, click ‘Save’ to apply the changes.
- It’s a good practice to review your entries before saving to ensure accuracy.
