How can we help?

Agency Access Management Guide

Learn how to add and manage subowners for your blogs.

Access Management for Agency Plan

Buildfast's access management lets you add one sub-owner per blog, giving them full control over that blog's dashboard and settings.

How Invites Work

The invite process changes depending on who you're inviting:

New Users

  • You will send them a special signup link
  • Must use this link to create their account
  • Gets instant blog access after signup

Existing Admins

Admins are users who have created their account on Buildfast as regular users. They can create blogs and must be subscribed to a plan. Cannot be invited as sub-owners. You'll need a different email address.

Existing Sub-owners

If a user signed up using the special subowner signup link, they have a “subowner” account. They cannot create blogs, and do not need to be subscribed to any plan.

They can only be invited to blogs by other owners.
If they're already a sub-owner for another blog:
  • Invitation appears in their dashboard
  • Can accept to access the new blog
  • Keeps access to their other blogs
📌
We do not send any invite emails to these users. The communication between the invited user and you is upto you. This is so you can customise the email and invite as you like.

What Sub-owners Can Do

Sub-owners get full access to:
  • Blog dashboard
  • Settings
  • Design customization
  • Analytics
  • Newsletter settings
But they cannot:
  • Transfer blog ownership
  • Add other sub-owners
  • Access other blogs in your account

Need to Change Sub-owners?

You can only have one sub-owner per blog. To switch:
  1. Remove current sub-owner
  1. Add new sub-owner
