How to allow Google to index your blog
Learn how to generate a sitemap for your blog so that search engines can index your blog.
Setup in SEO settings
Head over to your blog’s SEO settings from your dashboard.
Here along with other SEO settings, you can also toggle on “Let Google index this Blog”. Once this is on, save and regenerate the blog and you will have a sitemap generated for your blog.
You can view this at
yourblogurl.com/sitemap.xml

Unlist specific pages
You can choose not to index certain pages. Go to the page’s Notion row, and choose the
Do_not_index
option.
This will remove this page from your sitemap, but as long as it’s published, it will be visible on your blog site.
Handling Private pages
If you have private pages (Pages with
Make_private_page
ticked), they are not visible anywhere on the site.
But by default they are visible in the sitemap. This is done so that you can enjoy the SEO benefits of the page, and allow it to be ranked while simply not having a link for it on your main site.
If you want this to be hidden from the sitemap as well please tick
Do_not_index
as well.Did this answer your question?
